Poetry

Hi, welcome to the ACR322 blog. For your e-learning assignment, could you upload a poem that you think is suitable for teaching at the secondary school level. Please don't use any of the poems we used in class. This is so that you can have more poems to draw upon as part of your teaching resources when you go out to teach. Once you've typed out your poem, please provide at least 4 scaffolded questions that can accompany your poem. The questions should be linked to what you want to achieve with your students. For example, you might say that for this particular poem A that you've chosen, you want to elicit responses from your students concerning the use of imagery in the poem. Think of 4 or more questions you can ask in ascending order of difficulty (hence scaffolded) to achieve this objective. Take another example. For poem B, perhaps you want students to think understand the idea that death is a release in the poem. Think of 4 or more questions that are designed to help your students come to this idea.
